   I bought these filters with the thought “if they don’t work, I’ve only lost $10”. Well, they have surpassed my expectation so far. Firstly, they arrived in excellent condition ahead of the scheduled delivery date – imagine the smile on my face when that happened! They come in a little wallet to keep them together and to protect them whilst not in use. I haven’t used any other kind of filter so I cannot compare to others when it comes to quality but they feel well made, don’t feel cheap at all. They screw onto my camera very easily and are secure – no loose fitting or anything.I haven’t used the FLD filter yet so can’t really comment on that.I wanted a UV filter to protect my lens against dust and scratches – this just does that. My only complaint (and its a small one) is a slight glare when using this screen at night against lights – but the filter screws on and off very easily so i just take it off when taking night shots then pop it back on as soon as i’m done. When taking day shots, I haven’t noticed a major difference but noticed that when in auto mode my camera chooses a slightly different shutter speed and sometimes aperture for example, with my ISO at 100 without filter SS:1/280 A: f4. With filter SS:1/250 A: f4. Another example was without filter SS: 1/420 A: f4 compared to SS:1/400 A: f4.5 with filter. But I have only tried this out of my window and not in a particularly bright scene where there is high UV levels like the beach. I will compare again when at the beach and update my review.The CPL filter works great too, although I expected a difference on EVERYTHING in the photo I took, I have to adjust slightly to get the result I want, which is done by turning the lens (it moves while still firmly attached) and only works in certain area’s (see my photo of the car I uploaded – I expected ALL reflection to be removed but only saw a noticeable difference on the windscreen) but the difference that IS made is pretty awesome . I think the reason I have to adjust it manually is because of the type of camera I have (it generally takes a linear polarizer but can use the circular one too). Again, I will play around more with this and update my reviewOver all I am very happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these filters to a photographer on a budget. Excellent quality for the price!

   I got these filters for my Cannon Rebel telephoto lens because I have used Vivitar filters with my other cameras and lenses. They work great and the price was right.

   You know when you buy a new camera, there are certain things you MUST do. One of them is to buy high quality filters to protect your lenses. I learned this when a friends son borrowed their camera, was walking on some rocks and fell. The only thing that saved the lens and possibly the camera was that little filter. It broke, the glass cracked, but the lens was fine. It is like a shock absorber for the front of your camera. These are very high quality glass, come in a wonderful set of three (for different effects), and a very nice pouch to keep them all protected. Great price, and great service from this seller. Bought two sets, one for each size lens!

   Vivitar – Filter kit – fluorescent / UV / circular polarizer – 58 mmWhen I got this kit, all I really needed was a UV filter to protect the lens of a camera. This Vivitar kit has not only the UV filter, but also a circular polarizer and a fluorescent light compensation filters, all for about the same price as some “name brand” UV filters alone. The Vivitar filters come with a pouch case. I have not yet used the polarizer or the fluorescent light compensator, but the UV filter has been quite adequate. The filter ring is on the thick side, but it has not cut off any pictures that I have taken with the camera, nor have I seen any problems with the images I have taken. I’m satisfied with it. Vivitar used to be something of a “name brand” itself years ago in camera accessories, and the brand is attempting a comeback.

   I must say that Vivitar knows lens and it knows how to manufacture a product that you can enjoy without being pricey! Too often people look for and buy “brand” names without any knowledge of how the product will suit their needs. Vivitar has done that for you with it’s “Superb” line of quality lens filters. I just received a three piece filter kit and I’m very pleased at the quality and the price.I compared these filters with some of the most expensive and the lease costly [low price]. Price alone doesn’t mean quality for the professional or the casual photographer. These filters “deliver!”So then for you guys that have money to “burn”-go right ahead. But for anyone who is cost conscience and want good quality lens filters. I highly recommend a set of Vivitar lens to start with.
