I don’t really have any problems with this item and it’s fantastic for people who use a lot of the mountain batteries but might need an adapter if you run dry. This will let you use the gold plug batteries in your V mount device. The clamp is made of metal and the rest of the adapter is polymer with appropriate secure hooks for both sides to keep your battery secure and the plate locked in. It doesn’t have the nicest fit and finish but the build quality seems solid and it definitely does the job.I’m giving him four stars instead of five because it just doesn’t feel quite premium enough to reflect the price. But I’m sure it’s good and this is the kind of thing it’s a real lifesaver when you need it. I think it could be a little smaller but it’s still eminently packables so you would probably want to carry this with you or with the rest of your V mount gear.

This is one of those items you never think about until you need it. I realize this converter is a little obscure for some, but it really helps out in a pinch. I use V Mount and NP-F batteries for my rigs, but keeping this adapter with my travel gear is a good safety net for when I travel. Being able to borrow or rent gold mount batteries in a pinch and still being able to power the camera (all day) is a very reassuring thing.This adapter is completely unbranded and is constructed of heavy duty plastic. The V mount is metal. There is a single D-ta. The converter works perfectly and is lightweight and slim. Nice peace of mind.
