Camera cages have a lot of threads and these are excellent to add cold shoes to those in order to further minimize the size of setups. I will use these in conjunction with magic arms on a case-by-case basis.

I think for mounting lightweight accessories; these cold shoe mounts work well. They have rubber on the bottom and a removable locating pin to minimize rotation. Conveniently, if you don’t need the locating pin at the base, it can be installed on the front to avoid getting lost.It is worth mentioning that these cold shoes are not designed for use with an on-camera flash. Mounting a speedlight may cause the pins to get stuck, making removal difficult. This happened to me when I attached an old Godox flash, but was able to remove it by disassembling the flash hot shoe.Overall, for adding an extra cold shoe to a camera cage or compatible device, these mounts are simple yet well-made.
