Not all cameras have a flash sync port as well as a hotshoe for mounting an external flash head. This works perfectly and does exactly what it is supposed to do. When using supported flash heads and 3rd-party (aftermarket) units designed to support iTTL, it works flawlessly. Highly recommend if you have a Nikon camera that does not have a flash sync port.

I have a pair of studio strobes that I use occasionally with my Nikon D850 which has a pc flash connector. I have a wireless system that plugs into the pc connector to trigger the strobes. With no pc connector on the Z8 I needed an alternative. Rather buying a new wireless system I decided to give this a try because it is so inexpensive…works as advertised.
