Got this Neewer NPF Adapter, over all I am satisfied with the built quality and everything is working fine. I use this adapter with NPF 970 on my GH5. Really like this setup. Now I can film for many hrs without the worry running out of power. I wish the 4 dots battery fuel gauge always staying on when I turn on the power to on. So that I can alway see how much power the battery have left. As its stands, you need to press the power button once again to see the battery fuel gauge. its just a slight incovenience The 4 dots led would not draw much power any ways.PS. Update. The good news is that the 4 dots led is correlate with the camera battery indicator. When the npf battery is fully charged. The adapter 4 led dots will light up when press the power button once and it go off after 1 second At the same the camera screen will also show full power with 4 bars display battery icon. When the npf battery go down to 3 dots and my camera will also show 3 bar. This is good news because I can know how much power The battery have in real time. Awesome adapter plate.

I’ve tried both the SmallRig and Tilta NPF plates. The SmallRig doesn’t output 12v. Just shy of it and that makes it unusable for my application. The Tilta is good, but expensive.This one just works and feels rugged. I only wish there wasn’t an on/off switch. Why is that even there?

Well, I do like the aluminum body. Having the power button there is pretty nice. I tried running my Freeworld monitor on it and it would shut down. It seemed like the power would disconnect depending on how much vibration was given to it and the position of the unit. Despite that, it still seemed to work as I could easily still swap out batteries (battery in monitor and battery in plate) without losing power.

This allows me to power my Sony A7iiiS and Blackmagic 7″ display from one Sony NFP battery pack. I like that it has a built in batter level indicator as well as an on-off switch. I am able to run both devices for well over an hour from a single battery.
