The media could not be loaded.One of the most frustrating parts of putting on filters is how long it takes to switch them out, and this filter kit changes that. I love that I can put the magnetic lens filters on in seconds so I’ll be able to snap them on and off whenever I need them. The carrying case is also great. It’s smaller than my other cases & can go on a belt or purse strap so I can put the lens filters away or pull them out without having to go into my camera case.I only have a few issues with the Neewer Magnetic Filter Kit. The first issue is that there is nothing written on the side of the filters. I would love to know which filter I’m picking up without having to look at the front where it’s written. The second issue I have is the vignette on the CPL filter. Look, I know that CPL filters are going to have some vignette but I have to go to at least 28mm on my 24-70mm lens. I will admit, I’m also pretty hesitant that these won’t add protection in case a rock or something hits my lens. The magnets seem to be strong enough but I’ll probably use my screw-on UV filter with this kit on top of it to add a bit more protection to my lens. This obviously causes more of a vignette issue but keeping my lens protected is more important.All in all, this is incredibly handy, and I love that I can put on the filters with one hand. If you’re okay with vignettes this is a great filter kit that will speed up your ability to change out filters for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

With the magnetic ring attached, it was super-simple to swap filters, and as a bonus the CPL was very easy to turn for optimum effect, without the filter having to have a bearing, and without worry about over tightening or unscrewing the CPL during use.As for the filters themselves, while it is hard to get “comparable” exposures with and without a 10-stop filter, you can see that colors are true and the effect is otherwise dramatic. At 50mm f/1.2, we were able to select which little toothpick-tooth was in focus. The background pretty much vanishes. Usually you use a filter like this for long-exposure fun, and it works for that quite well.The Circular Polarizing Filter, as mentioned above, is made much better by being mounted magnetically so that it can be turned to the optimum orientation without worries or hassle. In these shots we use it to reduce reflection and glare. Note that in the photo with the filter there is much less glare on the plastic, and the concrete is a richer color, not obscured by surface reflections. Of course, a good CPL is also part of every landscape photographer’s toolkit for the bluer skies and richer colors.Finally, there’s the UV filter. If you’re of the school that it’s worth using one to protect your lens, you probably already have one you like on all your lenses and you will be screwing the magnetic adapter onto it. So the UV filter in this kit probably isn’t very useful to you, unless you actually shoot film.The magnetic lens cap is super-handy and easy to use.We do have a couple of quibbles. The case that the filters are stored in seemed nice at first blush, but it’s tricky to get the filters out without getting fingerprints on the glass, and the filters can touch each other at the bottom of each slot. (The lenses were originally wrapped in protective wrappers for shipping, but the way those were sealed meant the wrappers had to be destroyed when opening them.) Some sort of sleeve for each slot in the holder would be nice.Also, when removing the magnetic lens cap, the top filter will sometimes come with it, rather than cling to the camera. It’s just in the nature of the system. Although the filter is still securely attached to the cap so there is little risk of dropping it, it can be awkward.Perhaps the biggest problem is all the shopping we’ll be doing because now we want ALL our filters to be magnetic.

Was looking for a filter kit that is easy to use, quick to change filters as needed, without breaking the bank. Neewer fits the bill. The magnetic system allows for the almost instantaneous change if lighting conditions change dramatically while shooting.Highly recommend
