I’m an amateur photographer, and use a DSLR with various lenses.I’ve used other filters, such as ND’s and a Circular Polarizer, but this is my first attempt at shooting with 1/4 & 1/8 Black Diffusion Filters.These filters arrived in a nice protective case.They are of ultra slim aluminum, and I have no problem with attaching or detaching from my camera lens.As with any filter you attach to your camera lens, take care not to tighten it too much (or too little as well)These can be stacked on top of each other if you want to experiment.I am quite satisfied with the construction of these filters.Black diffusion filters are supposed to soften your image and can be used in still or film photography. I have not tried these in a video, and need to practice quite a bit more with them in my still photos, but so far I do like their effect of making my photos dreamier and less harsh. Sometimes though, depending on the light, I think my focus at times is a bit off. I’m starting with the 1/4 and plan to do a lot more practicing with it, and expect to have much more opportunity to do so this summer.I think these are a great value for the money, you get two filters at a very good price.

Great lower budget solution for your entry level black mist filters.I love that you can stack them on top of one another so you can add the 1/4 and 1/8 together for an even stronger effect if desired.
