They say you shouldn’t use these for solar eclipse.. well I tried anyways and I’m glad I did, all the other solar filters were sold out so this was my last option and worked just as good. As long as you’re not looking through an optical view finder you’ll pretty much be okay. I had all 4 stacked together and with different settings got over 300 unique photos of the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. I was using a Canon EOS Rebel T7 and the basic 300mm kit lens. Some are out of focus unfortunately but the camera had no issues and I didn’t burn a hole in my shutter like everyone said I would.. and I was outside about 2 hours before the eclipse to practice adding up to 6 hours so that’s probably prolonged exposure to the sun.I don’t like that lens can hit each other slightly at the bottom when placed into their bag so maybe fully enclosed sleeves would be nice and not just dividers but it’s fine.
