I bought this camera with the hopes that I could do some intentionally incorrect video for an art project and I think it will serve me well in that way.On the plus side, it is fairly compact so it will fit in tight spaces. This one does not take batteries and I found one afterwards that does, so that tight space needs power. That other one also has a screen which I wish this had.The wide 3.2(?) lens is pretty great. It’s a manual focus lens that is reasonably sharp and very wide without a lot of distortion like a fisheye has. So for an install in a very large room it works well as a monitor cam.The one thing I did notice when I used it that way was that people walking around did not move smoothly. It was like skipping a frame or two in the near field. Possibly the whole frame but it was a distraction in the near field. I was using it at 1080i 60fps.So again, since I am looking for the unusual, this issue is fine, but if you’re a production snob, keep your expectations in check.
