I got the Gonine DMW-DCC12 power adapter for my Panasonic GH5, thinking that I would be shooting long conference sessions. I haven’t done much with the conferences yet, but I have used the Gonine adapter for long-term time-lapse videos and for an animation project. For less than $20, it is the perfect way to keep the GH5 powered for extended times. The GH5 even has a little “trap door” for the power adapter’s cable to pass through, so that the battery door can be closed properly. (You can see this in the photos I posted.)In the photos, I show the Panasonic GH5 set up to do an animation project. The camera is mounted overhead, pointing straight down at a table where the animation work is done. With the Gonine DMW-DCC12 power adapter, I can run the camera as long as I like, working for hours at a time without having to bother with swapping batteries. The Gonine DMW-DCC12 adapter is the perfect accessory for an application like this.I’ve now used the Gonine DMW-DCC12 adapter several times, and it has always worked flawlessly. It is easy to use, inserts exactly like a standard camera battery, and it is a steal at the price. I recommend the Gonine DMW-DCC12 power adapter for the Panasonic GH5.

I bought this to connect to my GH5 in the studio so I wouldn’t need to charge batteries so often.Pros1. Works fine. Kept my GH5 powered on with no power fluctuations or random shut offs.2. Prices seem well made enough.3. Relatively cheap.Cons1. I wish the cables were longer. I had to rest the power brick part of this on my tripod, otherwise it just hung there. Not a huge deal.Overall, I would recommend this product. It works fine and really does save you a ton of micromanagement charging batteries if you consistently shoot somewhere with an outlet.

We record performances for my wife’s school and sometimes they go over and hour and a battery swap was required. Now that we have this, our only factor is how large of SD cards are in the camera. We’ve recorded over 3 hours straight with zero issues on the power supply. Would definitely buy again!

this really helped me. I can go for hours recording with my gh5 without worrying about batteries.

Got this yesterday and works perfectly in GH3, fits nicely and the cable wasn’t having any trouble, it feeds through the intended gap with ease and instantly powered the camera without a hiccup.. That being said, if you want to use the item in the battery grip, with a battery in the main model as a backup, this is where it comes up short. The cable ends up getting rubbed where the inner wiring is exposed due to it being fed through the top, instead of the edge, which is a bit of a shame as the cable gap in the grip is located near the bottom half of the battery. It does the job great, so if you wish to use this in your GH3, GH4, etc, you’ll be very happy with the price it’s at. However, be cautious if you use in the battery grip as the rubbing will reduce the amount of time you’ll end up using this. Great buy though.
