I ordered this to use with a Cowboy radio trigger, a white shoot-through umbrella, and a Canon speedlite. The first umbrella bracket I ordered worked great and the little golden adapter stud you can see in the picture allowed me to put it on my tripod. It has a decent build quality and my only problem with it was that the hot shoe took some work to position the flash the right way.I was happy with it, so I ordered a second umbrella bracket. This one, unfortunately, came with an adapter stud that had no helical ridges on the inside. There was no way a thread of any size could be used on a ridge-less stud! I have ordered a replacement, and if the replacement fixes this problem then I’ll bump it up a star.- EDIT: I got my replacement and it works great. All the pieces are correct! 4/5 stars. –

Very robust quality for such a cheap flash umbrella holder. The adapter in the bottom is excellent for tossing this adapter onto a monopod for an assistant to easily control a flash unit. Tightens down very strong. The knobs are all very secure, and the product features metal where metal needs to be. Much better than the cheap plastic alternatives that manage to fall apart just by sitting in a bag.
