Chadd Senger –
So I first bought the DMW-DCC17 from Panasonic and was hugely disappointed to find out there was no solution to plug the thing into a V-Mount Battery. What in the actual expletive…Fotga has made some fairly priced products before which haven’t let me down, although they’re sometimes a bit clunky. I still use their DP300 Follow focus though, that has lasted me for years and I got it used around 2017.So I figure I’d give this product a shot (pun intended?). As you can see from my pictures, it’s currently working well over 10 Min into recording 5.7k ProRes 422 HQ directly to a Samsung T5. It just works. I’ll be letting this record go until the drive fills up or the V-Mount dies just to make sure there are no issues initially.Took a little less than a week to get here from China, no complaints or raves there, though I would always encourage Chinese companies to keep a warehouse somewhere around here (USA) to serve customers quickly. If I experience any problems, I will definitely update. But for now, my level of trust in Fotga is pretty high already, and especially compared to other competitors making this same product who’s names I’ve never even heard before.Ending this review 23 minutes into recording, still going strong! Get this thing and give me second opinions, because as far as I can tell IT JUST WORKS. No thanks to Panasonic.Like comment subscribe or whatever Amazon allows.
