Dummy batteries scare me. They have the ability to increase your record time while also introducting the possibility of frying your camera. That is why I like to test the voltage first. As you can see, this decodes the voltage to a steady 8.81 volts. And since the OEM camera battery has an output of 7.2v, I referred to the manual.The manual states the power source of the Lumix s5iix is 9v. Looks like we are in the clear! And after testing, I can say the dummy battery works perfectly. I still would suggest testing your copy with a voltage meter as it is always a good sanity check.
