- CAMKIX CINEMATIC FILTER PACK: This kit contains four neutral density filters (ND2/ND4/ND8/ND16), a UV filter and a cleaning cloth. The functionality and advantages of the filters are explained in the following texts and in the pictures.
- ND FILTERS: The CamKix neutral density (ND) filters decrease the amount of light coming into the sensor (through the lens), without affecting the color of the image. This is ideal when you want to use lower shutter speeds in bright light, for example to avoid a washed out image of the sky.
- ND2/ND4/ND8/ND16: A good rule for shooting a well balanced video with a natural motion blur is to aim for a shutter speed that is twice your framerate. If the light level is 4 stops over (+4EV), you should install an ND16 to get the correct exposure. If you are 3 stops over (+3EV), you should use the ND8 filter, etc. If you can’t calculate or measure the EV value, try all 4 filters to test which filter gives the best result.
- UV FILTER: The CamKix UV filter not only keeps your GoPro camera lens scratch free, it also acts as a UV filter which filters out any UV light coming into the lens.
- ENHANCED FOOTAGE: If the original source footage that you capture with your GoPro camera is better, it will be easier to get an enhanced result in post production. Using the CamKix filter set will help you achieve that.

I am writing this review because I am completely satisfied with the product. I am using these on a GoPro Hero 4 and on a Campark 4k on my aerial cinematography drone. I had to do some small modifications to the Campark action camera to enable these filters to fit. These filters do what they what ND filters should do with the proper camera and exposure settings. They help to produce the desired motion blur, and have totally removed all minor jello effect that I was getting every now and then. The aerial footage that I am taking with these filters looks crystal clear at 4k@30, and I am very happy with this product. My drone is carefully tuned for aerial cinematography, and I am using the Walkera G-3DH high precision 3-axix gimbal, which I have carefully tuned as well.

These are not bad, but not great. Definitely a little loss of sharpness and detail, but not bad. Just makes things a tiny bit softer. For some shots this isn’t a terrible thing as the GoPro can sometimes look too sharp, but you can always blur in post. You can’t add true sharpness back.

They came packaged really well and labeled. I bought them for my Akaso EK7000 but they are a bit too big, my fault. With a little tape to thicken up the plastic around my camera’s lens, they fit snug enough for stationary filming.

Works perfect for my needs as the gopro is on a gimbal attached to a uav so no room for a big clunky case and square filters. Item was shipped amazingly fast and came in a perfect foam box that holds each filter in their own spot for protection.So far ive used the nd8 and nd16 and for the price they are far better than I ever expected.
