I wasn’t sure how thrilled I’d be with this purchase, but I must say…I’m very well pleased.Although there are several other quality cages available for the GH5, I didn’t want to break the bank and found this package included more than those others (specifically, the top handle, rails, and rail mount). The overall size is nice and compact, and the build quality is durable with tight connections. The handle secures tightly onto top of the cage, and the cage itself offers several 1/4″ threaded holes for mounting various accessories.The cage openings allow ample access to the battery pack, SD cards, HDMI port, and dials. Given your camera’s hot shoe will be blocked by the upper part of the cage, a cold shoe mount is provided on the top right side. An additional cold shoe mount is provided towards the front end of the handle which can be used for mounting an external monitor, mic, lights, etc.The rails are threaded so they can be extended if needed. I added a “15mm Rod Clamp Rail Block with Cold Shoe Mount Adapter” in the back so I could mount my audio gear. For long lenses, you could add two 4″ extension rods/rails (or simply reposition the provided rails) and purchase a lens support add-on.Overall, this is a pretty solid, reasonably priced cage. I’m 100% happy I with my purchase and would highly recommend for GH3/4/5 owners.

Was a little hesitant buying what looks like a small rig style cage but for 30 dollars less and can say I am not disappointed at all would definitely buy again . I stained the ugly light colored wood they attached and it now looks 1000x better and would recommend the small modification to everyone it makes the cage look way nicer ! Overall fit is great and has a lot of attachment points 10/10 would recommend .
