The Sony A7r2 has a well deserved reputation for being a battery pig, and one of the places you run through batteries quickly is in video recording. The Calmuti set has a dummy battery and a power supply (7.6v) that connect through the normal battery connection. The wire pokes out a port that is already in the battery door of the camera, meaning that you don’t need to take the door off. Connectors keeps the dummy battery cable connected firmly. Nicely done; well made. Camera powers up solidly and stays powered up – so it does what it needs to do. Bravo!
